Overnight Oats

Overnight oats,1eightykitchen weekly tip

I pinched this one off a girlfriend of mine…..hehehe thanks Maddy!!!! Except I’m not as good a wifey and I don’t get up in the morning to make them so the hubby gets the responsibility of topping them with frozen blueberries (which are perfect for keeping the jar cool till you want to eat them)

These little guys are fabulous fillers for your lunch box or great as a breakfast on the run.

You can make them as fancy as you like with all kinds of super foods but I keep mine nice and simple.

And I just love re purposing cool looking jars.

What you’ll need

1/2 cup of oats

1/2 cup of Greek yogurt

1/2 cup of almond milk or similar

1/2 cup of frozen berries

1/4 cup of coconut

honey to drizzle

  • ratios can be changed around to suit your personal liking……I’m a touch lazy so it’s just easy doing everything the same and my mans not one for complaining so they must be ok right?

Prep

In a jar first put your oats, then your milk, then the yogurt and then your coconut.

Don’t mix anything.

Put a lid on the jar and pop in the fridge for tomorrow.

In the morning put the frozen fruit on top (this will help keep it cool till lunch time)

And drizzle with honey.

Don’t forget a spoon.
