Fresh Start

One of the most important things to do after a major health kick is to allow a touch of freedom. Then maintain a constant level of healthy eating and not dive straight back into a totally unhealthy world.

I am a week ahead of you so my 5 weeks slim down ended last Thursday, just in time for a house load of visitors to arrive for my husbands birthday. I do love entertaining though not just because I love to cook but also because you have an element of control over what to eat, that isn’t quite so easy when dining out. So the Friday night we had a BBQ with loads of BBQ veg and Saturday I did Rib Eye steaks with a roasted pumpkin and Freekeh Salad with loads of yummy goats cheese. All delicious food but still inside a realm of health so that when Sunday afternoon rolled around where we had a long lunch booked at a Greek restaurant it was easy to relax and let loose enjoying some delicious food and even tastier cocktails knowing that the rest of the weekend had been relatively healthy. Then Monday I allowed myself a total cheat day and ate everything at work that I wanted, from toast with peanut butter and banana to deep fried seafood noodle balls which were scrumptious and pizza for dinner and it was a totally awesome day of cheating. But Tuesday was a new day so straight back into normality.

So I am hitting you with a whole week of faithful goodies.
